Nillion's Modularity

Layer-2s like Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism etc. have been built to fix essential problems that Ethereum faces from scalability, faster/cheaper transactions, etc. We’ve also seen the introduction of Celestia as a Layer-0 network that acts as a consensus layer allowing for increased scalability and data availability. Of course modularity in this sense increasingly came from Ethereums problems and the need to solve those problems.

How does Nillion see itself as a player in this space, with the advent of numerous new chains, will Nillion be modular in the sense that it can be used as a layer with existing/new chains or that it can even benefit from those existing networks or will it deal with all functions of a blockchain by itself?
